Have you noticed all the handmade patriotic-themed decorations around town? They began popping up all over – from the front steps of City Hall to the exit of the grocery store parking lot by Terrible Herbst – and now they’re popping up in residential front yards.
This is all part of an effort by the Damboree Committee to incorporate handmade decorations to Damboree season with some ‘historical flavor enhancement’ and they’re asking everyone to join the fun by creating handmade patriotic decorations and place them in their front yards or bring them to Broadbent Park for the July 4th celebration. Ideally, these handmade decorations will draw from Boulder City’s and Hoover Dam’s history by using recycled materials that maybe have been used during Boulder City’s early days. Sounds like a super fun summer project for the kids!
