Check out these masterpieces…you’ll soon see them posted around town to advertise the Christmas Tree Recycling Program in hopes of collecting even more than the 266 Christmas trees that were recycled last year. All of the info on the program can be found on the Public Works website by clicking here.
Sophia Muelrath won in the age group of 4-7 and Eliza McNally won in the age group of 8-11. In addition to the awards that were presented at the City Council meeting earlier this week, $25 was donated to Emergency Aid in honor of each of the winning contestants.
BC Waste Free partnered with the City to offer Christmas Tree recycling, and the City of Henderson chips the trees that are collected. From December 26 through January 15 mulch will be available to community members for free at Pecos Legacy Park and Acacia Demonstration Garden, both in Henderson.
