Area 76 is comprised of the open, natural land set north of the overpass at the entrance to our city. This same area has been proposed for 2 huge, world-class golf courses by the MGM Hotel. |

The southern end of the River Mountain Trail has been created out of love for the Mohave Desert by residents of Boulder City including teachers, artists and children. Though not an official portion, it is nonetheless one of the most scenic stretches of the Trail. |
| There is no doubt that the MGM finds this location attractive for its canyons, slopes, natural contours and view. The hikers, bikers, and naturalists in town find it equally attractive. |  |
